About the event

Objective

Teachers will be able to:

  • Learn how to create classrooms that are inclusive by honoring the students and teachers that are present.
  • Explore research that supports building culturally sustaining spaces.
  • Obtain lessons that can help create safe spaces for courageous conversations and magnify learning.
Description

Often teachers may create lessons without genuinely having a full understanding of their students, or students having a full understanding of themselves. The purpose of this webinar is to equip teachers with research and lessons that will help them create culturally-sustaining classroom environments. We will explore instructional practices and review lessons that teachers can use to build relationship capital with students, colleagues, and stakeholders.
